AVK Captive Threaded Stud

The AVK Stud Threaded Insert functions the same way as most threaded inserts, but has the added feature of a protruding stud making it an ideal alternative to clinch or weld studs. Once installed, a threaded stud is left protruding so that component parts can be located on the stud until final assembly is accomplished with a mating nut. The AVK Stud Threaded Insert A-S series is designed to be used with Grade 5 or Metric Class 8.8/9.8 non thread locking type nuts.

AVK Threaded Stud Inserts Installation

The knurled body of the threaded stud insert expands in all directions to fill the hole. Because of this expansion, threaded stud inserts provide increased torque strength and vibration resistance. When using an AVK installation tool, the tool installs the stud creating a backside flange without adjustment.
